While I’d admit I don’t have one of those fancy DSLRs to put into this bag, there’s no stopping the amount of adoration and lust I have for this stunner that’s also part of the F/W15 collection, from the same line-up as those coveted Christopher Nemeth pieces I blogged about earlier. More a revamp than a complete redesign, the ever-iconic Monogram Canvas was given a new colour trim (they are calling it Monogram Slate) in a blue-grey hue that actually goes beautifully well with all the browns and golds on the bag.

Measuring 25 cm by 17 cm by 14 cm, this is as compact as it gets for a camera bag, the main compartment accessed from the top via an all-around zip, along with a front pocket for your all-important spare batteries and memory cards.

Or just use it like any other bag, the long sling allowing you to wear it across the body or over the shoulder. Priced at SGD3800, some of the other pieces dressed in the same trim include the Amazon (also known as the uncle sling bag, SGD2220), theAlize 24HR (SGD5600) and a rather un-attractive backpack (SGD5600) that I’d rather you pass up for the Christopher PM instead.

We just love Louis Vuitton’s Capucines, and just look at them, they are sure to turn heads! The purse cum mini-bag is named after the Rue des Capucines, which is where Vuitton had its first store in Paris, circa 1854. The rare ostrich leather in a pop yellow, combined with metal fastenings will guarantee a double take. The firm classic, almost-boxy shape gives the inside ample of space to be a fully functional bag for all the bare essentials. Let the bag hang off your fore arm for a dinner party or throw it around your shoulders for a casual day of errands as portability is made comfortable with the sturdy arm handle and longer cross body strap. The real eye-catcher, however, is the metal LV logo on the top edge, which can be shown off by wearing the flap cover on the inside. If worn on the outside, the flap reveals a monogrammed flower. This is Louis Vuitton exuberance and crafty workmanship at its superior best!

Louis Vuitton Capucines BBOne of the reasons why LV’s Capucines bags are so popular is their sheer simplicity and timelessness. The bag’s subtle, soft colors and minimaliststyle have attracted legions of fans. Once again showing their adeptness at maintaining the freshness of a classic, Louis Vuitton has taken the design up a notch by adding contrasting trims to some of the bags.

The bag gets a subtle makeover through the additions of vibrant, color contrast piping, edge painting, and interior, making it more covetable than ever. The black and taupe bags get bright pink trims making them youthful and smart picks. But our favorite is the powder blue bag whose vivid orange trims add a sweet sense of whimsy to the otherwise prim bag.

LOUIS VUITTON HEADS TO JAIPUR FOR THEIR SPRING 2015 MENSWEAR CAMPAIGN

Louis Vuitton menswear is all set for an Indian summer! The historic and culturally rich Indian city of Jaipur was chosen to be the backdrop for the brand’s s/s 2015 menswear campaign. Photographed by Peter Lindbergh, the campaign images feature model Rhys Pickering clad in luxe jackets, printed shirts and trench-coats carrying the brand’s instantly recognizable monogrammed bags.

louis-vuitton-mens-spring-collection-1In an accompanying campaign video, three models summarize the collection in four scenes sporting brightly colored bomber jackets, printed shirts and sweaters and slim trousers along with dark sunglasses. Jaipur’s dusty ancient domes and walls make a fitting complement to this travel inspired collection. Titled “Looking up at the Stars,” the collection is Kim Jones’ attempt to explore of the origins of menswear.
